Somerset PPI Forum
The Forums will play a vital role in making sure patients’ and the public’s views are heard and acted on by all those involved in making decisions. The functions of the Forums have been laid down by law; this means they will have real power to make a difference, not just discussion groups. We are all local people - from Minehead Bridgwater, the Poldens and elsewhere. We are keen to hear your views on local health services. We want to develop links with everyone throughout the area. If you would like to attend one of our meetings in public we would be delighted to meet you. We are starting to make visits to Doctor's surgeries and the hospitals at Bridgwater and Minehead. Somerset Coast Stretches from Cheddar to Porlock, it's a long way, we know how hard it is to get from home to anywhere - is this an issue for you? We are setting up links with community groups, to arrange informal get-togethers to find out what people really think...email us if you would be interested in coming along. We are already working with the Primary Care Trust, looking at waiting times and infection control. WHAT INTERESTS YOU? LET US KNOW!
